ABOUT

I started playing alto sax at age 8 and have been in various types of bands ever since, having settled on jazz standards and blues as these are the genres that best fit the instrument (sax).

To explore other live music performance, I started bass guitar just 9 years ago and have discovered a renewed passion. Any type of music is within grasp, although I've been mostly called upon for blues, classic rock and country--all of which I enjoy for different reasons.

Renewed interest in Celtic as well, playing the whistle.

Looking for fun and similar-thinking musicians who have been through the fire. Just jamming or getting together to play classic rock for hours on end is a favorite past-time.

I'm particularly interested in working with musicians on more difficult and technical tunes, such as those by Steely Dan, Rush, Santana, etc., where we would need to move beyond the jam into finding a groove. Nothing quite like it.
