ABOUT

I am currently seeking a working band in the modern country/rock genre. I know a great deal of both modern and classic country, and cover band standards. I had a great deal of local success playing bass with the Louisville band Moonshine Millionaires.

My ideal band that I would want to join is a working country band that plays 2 weekends (or five gigs) per month. Good leader or manager. Good repertoire and frontman. Little drama and drug use. Goal to be a top local act in the country market with a great reputation.

I am presently a member of legendary cowpunk band Nine Pound Hammer from Lexington, KY who are signed to Acetate Records. This is my only commitment. Our gigs are sparse but do require travel and touring when they are booked. (So far, in 2015, we have only played two out-of-state gigs) I will not be upset if a band uses a sub to fill in for me if a gig conflicts with Nine Pound Hammer.

My musical background is punk rock (with classic rock and country influences). I play bass with a pick. I often simplify or make my own signature version of the bass parts from the recorded versions. I consider myself to be an excellent entertainer and solid player, rather than a "highly skilled musician". What I do has worked really well with modern and classic country bands in this area.

I PLAY BASS WITH A PICK

Some bands have missed that detail in my ads and were hoping for more of a five-string active pickup modern bass player and that's not what I do.

Thanks for reading.
