I played Rock & Roll in the late 50's and early 60's. Elvis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, etc. were popular. In my early teens, I was fortunate to tour with a concert group that featured Rock & Roll to end their shows.
After high school, I attended the University of Pittsburgh and payed for my education by playing in a popular dance band in the Pittsburgh area. I also played soft listening music ( Jazz style) in some country club lounges.
After graduation, my profession, being on duty on weekends and family, made it hard to play in a band. My love for the guitar kept me playing to relax and also to entertain at family and friends functions. I watched the music scene change, over the years, with the English influences and others. I always enjoyed playing certain newer music that I personally liked.
I recently retired and decided to see if I could find a group that I might contribute to and just have some fun. Also, just jamming with musicians and creating unique arrangements would be enjoyable. I am retired so I have no time constraints for practice sessions.
