ABOUT

Percussionist seeking band or jamming opportunities. Prefer original music but would consider playing covers with the right mix and emphasizing our own interpretation. E-mail me at carolsundrum-at-jhu.edu.

I play djembe and congas, also cajon and other percussion, and see creating music as art. I have lots of experience performing, jamming, co-writing music and recording, and have played in rock, folk, indie, jazz, jam, and performance poetry bands. Though I have studied West African and Afro-Cuban drumming, my playing style is unique, melodic, and non-traditional. I am particularly interested in playing music in the folk/acoustic rock/indie/alternative/jam band vein. I can also sing backup.

I have a day job, but want to play out.
