Band to Join.ABOUT
I am an experienced musician looking for a position in a praise band. I led praise and worship for 3 years at FUMC Youth Odessa, TX 2 nights a week. I was the singer and played acoustic and electric guitar. Our Praise Band was featured in the newspaper. I was in choir for 7 years as well, so I have no trouble singing parts. In college I played in a country band where I honed my lead guitar and harmony vocal skills. The band did well and played hundreds of live shows and recorded a CD. I am happy to do any combination of singing, guitar playing, organizing if needed, song selection and even running sound. I can play bass guitar, but my skills would be limited in that area, however if a bass guitar is needed with some harmony singing I could do that.
I live in Plano and would like to find a Church in Plano, Frisco or somewhere else within 30 minutes of 75024. Once again I could fill any position a band needs except keys or drums.
I do not have any specific denomination, but rather look for Churches with contemporary services, for this is the type of worship that gets me closest to GOD. I also do not care if it is a large or small church. I just need to find someplace that I can make my new church home.

I am influenced most by Christ, but my musical influences include Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns, Shane and Shane, David Crowder, Jeremy Camp, and Addison Road.
EQUIPMENT
I have an acoustic guitar with a pick-up. I also have a Les Paul electric guitar [it's beautiful :)] All my other sound equipment [including my amp :( ] were stolen last year and all I have left are my guitars and 3 very nice Shure Microphones and various cables. I am going to buy a new amp and peddle board and would be able to do so immediately if I got a position as a lead guitarist.
