I have been singing since age 12 or so.
Influences
Of course, I started with R&B and gospel type music. Later I got into opera, folk, Indian (with the sitars etc.), and just everything... Lately, I am seriously in love with Rock, Metal, Alternative, Indie and the like.... I'd like to think I just love good music with a message, I'm all about the message and the feeling it evokes in each person...
I still love pan flutes and gregorian chant like Enigma when you need to be at peace and center yourself....
A good screamer like Alanis morissette, Sheryl Crow etc. when you're pissed (usually at men) .....
a let's rip our clothes off and do whatever like Down with the sickness- Disturbed.....
or a good horny song like sex & candy- Marcy playground, Dave Matthews-Crash into me, or Nine inch Nails- Closer....
or a serious message like Erica badu, Lauryn Hill, Des'ree, Coldplay- fix you or Godsmack-serenity.....
