As a child, I learned drums from a neighbor and took voice lesson when singing with church choir. Eventually played drums in a decent high school rock band. A full-on PA system and a dedicated jam space worked great during college, which lead to playing private, fraternity parties and local bars. Intermittently played congas with acoustic acts in downtown Mobile while learnig chords on the guitar.
