ABOUT

I'm looking for people with whom to jam, with the ultimate goal of starting a band. Ideally, I'd like to play old-school country music; beer-drinkin', hell-raisin' honky tonk kind of country music, not that watered-down stuff backed up by orchestras. I'd like to play with people who have a wide array of musical tastes; people who wouldn't be afraid to segue from Ernest Tubb's "Waltz Across Texas" into The Misfits' "20 Eyes", for example.

I can sing and play guitar - I can play lead if I'm backed into a corner, but I prefer playing rhythm. I play bass, too, but I can't sing and play bass at the same time. I can write my own stuff, too, but I'd rather start off playing old stuff.

I'd like to find an upright bassist, steel guitarist, drummer, and lead guitar and/or fiddle player. Barring that type of lineup, I'd like a standard four piece (two guitars, bass, drums).

I listen to all sorts of other stuff, but this is mainly what's relevant.
