ABOUT

I can dive into most playing situations with little or no rehearsal or I can spend the time required to lock it down. nickrenz51 at ya hoo dotcom 530 six one three 9330

I'm a versatile drummer and vocalist, country music is just a part of what I love. Since moving north from L.A. I've been on the road with Johnny D's Steel Horse Stampede feat. Halie O'Ryan, I've performed locally with the Sacramento Brothers, the Double Shots (expanded version! - doubleshotnation), and Dyin' Breed, Big Iron (://.thisisbigiron), Lonesome West (FB/alttwang), the Liar's Choir. Contact me for info on my years in L.A. and in the Deep South. Currently, I am with Tommy Miles and the Milestones (s://./tommymiles). I have done gigs and/or albums with Jimmi Accardi and the Action Zone, the Fortunate Few, Mountain Shine, Brazen Hussies and the Bad Boyz/Edgewood Station, Blues Farm/Scary Oakies, James Carlson and Ana Gilmour.

I'm available for fill-ins, casuals, and recordings and I'm always ready to lend a hand to your rock, pop (anyone in Sac ever hear of Marshall Crenshaw or Buddy Miller fercrineoutloud?), country or alt-country band or project. Need the right drum track for your song or jingle? I will work with you so we all sound great.
Listen to a few cuts, updated soon, of me singing and playing live with Lonesome West, Jimmi Accardi and the Action Zone, Big Iron and the Shills (pop-roots rock), the Tavernapples (trad country) from back in L.A.
Also looking for keyboards for a 70's-style powerpop band!
