My Bitter Sweet Birthday
It was the night before i turned 12. I'd gone outside to get somethin from our ridiculous minivan when i stumbled upon something enormous in the back seat covered with a ratty old blanket. so of course my curious little self decided to peek underneath the thin layer of chaste and to my utmost surprise i discovered the leg of a cymbol stand. oh my GOD! this was it! my moment had finally arrived. i'd wanted a drum set my whole life and i dreamed of being a rock star and begged and begged to play drums and my dreams were finally coming true...but...it was the day before my birthday. i ruined my surprise. there i stood alone in the driveway with a smile on my face that no one else could share. i'd never been so happy and so genuinely crushed in a single moment. i'll never forget my bitter sweet birthday.
