We're looking for a drummer who wants to get in on the ground floor of an indie rock band. We want to find another musician who is willing to spend serious time helping write original pieces. We plan to take this as far as it will go, so we'd like to have someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and get involved in a long and arduous process. We're not interested in studio musicians - we're looking for committed musicians who are willing to take ownership of this band alongside us, and people who are interested in having creative control over their own part and willing to share the load when it comes to writing. We're a collab-intensive band - so we spend a lot time writing together. Ideally, we'd like a drummer whose style is not too complex or overwhelming but is still original. We rehearse two to three times a week at a rented space in Olathe. Decent gear required. Experience is preferred. You don't have to be a rock star yet, just be willing to grow with us as a band and we'll all have a blast making stellar songs. More important are dedication, commitment and creativity. Multi-instrumentalists are encouraged, particularly vocalists.
