ABOUT

From the radiated California coast, Bay Area rock-metal band Chemical Gunns is shaking planet Earth! Fans describe their music as modern hard rock meets classic heavy metal.

In a sea of generic sounding bands, the quartet expressively stands out with guitar player Gabe Gunns’ shredding melodic riffs and singer Christy Chemical’s harmonious and guttural vocals. Drummer Jon Groh’s heart pounding double kick coupled with John Cullen’s high-octane attack on the bass form a lethal combination that drives the sound of the band.

In March 2016, the band released their highly anticipated debut single, ‘Rage!’, after receiving a recording sponsorship from Grammy winning El Cerrito Studio in the East Bay. Their fans were left eager for more after the song premiered on Reno based underground radio station ‘Erosion Factory’ where the band has also been interviewed as a spotlight artist. A full length music video for ‘Rage!’ has since been debuted and can be viewed on be.

Chemical Gunns has twice participated in Slapstick Vinyl’s Rock & Roll Anticompetition and is proud to have taken home a recording sponsorship each time. Those who have seen the band perform live claim an energetic, engaging, and positive experience. As they continue to book shows in the San Francisco Bay Area, the quartet is preparing for their upcoming release; ‘Garden of Sin’. The track is being recorded and engineered by Robert Keller of ‘The Hodges’, and is due to hit your speakers by Fall 2016.

This independently motivated and managed band is quickly progressing and making a name for itself locally and globally. Plans for an EP and full length album are currently in the works as they continue to conquer the Bay Area!
