Aspiring musician, Sam Carroll of North Little Rock, realized his interest in music at the tender age of three when he started playing the piano. Carroll first experienced the role of a music director when he was asked to pay during a church service at his home church. After playing for several church programs, Carroll realized his true calling was to expand his knowledge of music. Carroll currently specializes in playing the piano, keyboard, Hammond Organ, as well as song arrangement and CD
production.
Throughout his time in Arkansas, Carroll has been involved in various original bands in the Little Rock area. This involvement led to a recording opportunity with the Central Kentucky Mass Choir in Lexington, Kentucky. While in Lexington, Carroll was
able to collaborate with many national Gospel artists and
musicians expanding his knowledge as well as developing his talent.
Carroll has since returned to Little Rock, AR and is currently playing with numerous local artists including the Rodney Block Jazz Project, Kemistri, featuring Nikki Parrish, Grammy Nominated Arkansas Gospel Mass Choir under the direction of Charles Moore, and The Arkansas Throwback Choir under the direction of Danyelle Phillips-Mason.
Carroll has been given the privilege to play on many events since his return including AETN Presents: Front Row with the Rodney Block Jazz Project in 2007 which was nominated for a Mid – America Emmy Award, River Fest in 2008, Trumpet Awards in April 2009, Musical entertainment for Senator Blanche Lincoln and Vice President Joe Biden in April 2009, and will be apart of a musical tour throughout Brazil in September of 2009.
Carroll has many projects underway including The Arkansas Throwback Choir CD releasing late 2009, The Rodney Block Jazz Project CD releasing late 2009, The Arkansas Gospel Mass Choir CD releasing early 2010, and Victoria Woodard’s Melodious
Praise CD releasing late 2010.
Sam Carroll will be sharing his talent with the world in August 2009 with the release of his Freshman CD Possibilities.
