About

My name is Chris Janicki. I'm 22, been playing for 11 years, and am well versed in any styles from jazz to southern rock, funk to latin, and beyond. I haven't been in a band for a long time as I was at college at GVSU and busy with school, a job, and plans to commission into the Marine Corps in April. In October I was involved in a very serious accident, and now school and the Corps are on hiatus. I've wanted to go somewhere with music my whole life, yet have always had things in the way. Now that I'm facing the possibility of never being able to commission into the USMC I have a lot of time on my hands and want nothing more than to get into a band and perform. I'm open to styles, something along the lines of classic rock, southern rock, or RHCP style music would be ideal but anything is worthy of consideration. I am not talking myself up, but I am talented and would like to find musicians of a similar skill level that could really go places. Really though, I'm just looking for a good time. One thing to note is that I am a Christian, and while I don't mind whether I'm in a "Christian band" or not, I do not want to be putting my name on anything that is going to be swearing or singing about things like sex and drug use. I'm easygoing, and easy to work with. I just want to play music. I also play both acoustic and electric guitar. Email me if I'm what you're looking for.
