Much of the time, I feel like just another guitar player with big dreams. Some of the time, I feel like something might actually happen with those dreams. Who knows? I just want to play music that expresses what I feel, and I want to see if what I feel can have a positive impact on others. Yes, I want to have a positive impact, and yes, I'm a Christian, but I do NOT want to make "Christian music." Like I said, I just want to express what I feel, what I think other people feel, and try not to compromise artistry and communication for agenda. I hope to end up in a band that wants the same things and has goals bigger than themselves.
Other than that, I can be decribed as 5'10", skrawny, and light-haired:P
It's hard for me to keep a short list on influences. I like so much music, it's freakish, but I mostly stick to blues, classic rock, r/b, alternative, and a bit of punk and soul thrown in there too. Don't ask me how it all fits together, I'm still not sure. Specific examples include Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King, Eric Clapton, Joe Satriani, Jeff Beck, The Beatles, John Mayer, Led Zeppelin, U2, The White Stripes, The Black Keys, Dashboard Confessional, Third Eye Blind, The Smashing Pumpkins, Bob Dylan, A Perfect Circle, Cream, Ray Charles, Carlos Santana, The Counting Crows, and on and on and on.
I'm a poor (recent) college graduate in debt up to my eyeballs, and I'm afraid my equipment reflects this:P My amp sounds pretty good; Tech 21 Trademark 60 (basically the best solid-state ever). My main guitar right now is a beat-up and "personalized" old Rogue Strat (yeah, Rogue:S). Then I have a G&L Tribute ASAT Classic I'm looking to sell (to get a real Strat) and an Atlas series Breedlove that might be on its way out too.
