Grand Rapids musician who knows lots of other local musicians but can't seem to find anybody willing/able to commit to a band with me. Been singing all my life, playing guitar for half of it, writing for a decade, dabbling in producing, and I just want to put it all to good use. Mostly write and play "alternative" or "indie" (or whatever) music with a wide blues-/classic-/roots-rock base, but I want to be in a band that can cover a ton of ground. The kind that needs a keys player rocking organ tones one minute and Mellotron flutes or analog synths the next, bass player equally convincing with a bowed upright as a P-bass, drummer who actually owns mallets and brushes and isn't afraid to use them... that sort of thing.

Influences
Lots. Lots and lots. I'm sick of trying to cherry pick specific artists. I grew up on blues and classic rock alongside grunge/post-grunge/alt-rock/alt-pop. Eventually got into the "indie" thing and jazz and the 70s Americana/singer-songwriter vibe. Currently bouncing back-and-forth a lot between the Soulquarians and Tom Waits, with a heavy dose of analog-synth-driven electronic music and post-rock-ish-ness (Sylvan Esso, Volcano Choir, Mutemath, etc.). Oh! and the Peter Gabriel/Kate Bush thing kinda rocks my world lately, too.
