I am a self-taught bassist currently looking for a band (I know that scares some people, but who cares). I am a very youthful 36 years old & have the pics to prove it ( I am also rude, crude, & tattooed). I have played in several bands doing covers, writing originals, have done some studio work. I don't know a lot about music, but I do know music (if that makes any sense). I am learning to read music, but mostly play by ear, that is after all how I learned. I am looking for a band I can continue to grow with while making music my job. I don't have to be a millionaire rock star... my ultimate goal is to make a living playing music. I am looking for a group of like-minded guys/gals who can make that happen. Music is my passion & I do it as well as anything else I've ever done in my life. Influences
I learned to play bass by playing bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden, & The Cult. I then learned to play other styles of music ranging from Great White to Ac/DC to Motley Crue to The Doors to Guns-n-Roses, then on to newer music like Breaking Benjamin, Godsmack, 3 Doors Down, Tool, 5 Finger Death Punch, & Pop Evil (check out the pic of me jammin with Tony & Matt of P.E.). I can play pretty much anything if I can listen to it a couple of times.
EQUIPMENT
I have a Fender Precision 5-string "J" bass, an Ibanez standard 4-string, & a 200 watt Kustom combo amp. That's pretty much it, no fancy effects or pedals, just pure bass!
