Classic Delusion has been slowly simmering in the Dallas/Ft Worth music scene for just over a year now, drawing bigger crowds to every show and redefining the term “Classic Rock Cover Band”.
Much more than "just" a cover band, Classic Delusion is an Experience.
As the lights come up and the fog begins to swell, the guitars and bass hit the first chord of the night.
Then, like the “Running Of The Bulls” in Spain, the kick drum starts to tear you a new one, and for the first time in 40 years you ask yourself, “Is it live or is it Memorex?”
I promise you, the music isn’t just live, Classic Delusion brings it all “Back to Life”.
Classic Delusion is a five-piece band still believing they can live the dream.
But as deluded as they might be, there is nothing diluted about the music.
This band is as hard rockin and hard hitting as they come.
Rick Pope and Donna Nelson share lead vocals, their voices morphing like red-hot lava lamps channeling the very essence of Don Henley, Grace Slick, Steven Tyler, Robert Plant, Pat Benetar and Annie Wilson.
Bassist Bob Nunn and Drummer Jeremy Pantuso provide the rock solid rhythm on every groove, with enough emotion and showmanship to steal the show from just about everyone who’s hit the local music scene.
They can emulate the complex rhythms of Carlos Santana and Dire Straits and still punch a hole right through you on FOG HAT’s “Slow Ride.”
Rick Pope shares guitar duties with the big man on campus, Tom Pantuso, who sits like a blind man in a hurricane behind his sunglasses and ivories, slowly moving to beat of every song as he doubles as keyboard and second lead guitarist.
Legend has it when Tom stands up and takes center stage on his vintage Strat, all hell breaks loose and the show goes to another level altogether.
