Parma (for now) drummer looking to form/join a cohesive, dedicated group of professional musicians to form a great band out of the Cleveland scene.
I’m looking to play technically challenging, original, “Hippie Rock.” 6/8 and 7/8 and a cover song or two worked into a set is cool.

“Me”
I'm a 36 yr old drummer that is getting back into playing after the- 7 year, moving, getting married, child raising era- and am about to dump a lot of money on my ‘dream kit’. I learned to play the drums 15 years ago playing to Rush, then I fell in love with the Grateful Dead. Other influences include Sting, Journey, Zepplin, hell- even Hall N Oates (I heard that). There’s so much great music out there!
So there’s me in a nutshell. I played in different incarnations of a very original band for 10 years in Columbus and recorded a CD. So I’m solid and taking lessons to improve my skills I have very solid time- trust me- I don’t suck!

The band I want to play in
My contrasting influences make up my technical side (Rush) and I want the band to be to be the vehicle to take the music to a cohesive, yet uncharted, territory (ala Grateful Dead). “Technical hippie jam”- if you will.
I grew up in the 80’s so the songs our band plays should include catchy ‘hooks’ that sound good and give fans something to remember. Exploration can come in between verses, choruses, bridges and sageways.

Goals
I want to develop a good following around town and then branch out to Columbus, Western NY, etc- keeping in mind we have to work on Monday.
Lyrically, I want to spread good mood and vibes- so the band needs to embody this (no heavy metal vibes.

If you are the following. . .
A SERIOUS hobbyists
(Jobs are a must to afford equipment and gas)
(Want to practice/gig 2x’s/wk and take recordings home to work on)
Dedicated and Reliable (my old bass player flaked after we dumped $2000 into a CD)
You have professional equipment and are very familiar with your instrument
Have (or know of) a decent practice facility
AND LASTLY- the above bio sounds like someone you'd want to either form with (or need a drummer to take you to the next level)- please e mail me at…
