I'm looking to get something started in/around M-boro. Just want to jam at first and see where that leads.

Self-taught. I like to be the backbone of the song so I won't try to play over the other musicians. I am in to all sorts of styles and my influences are all across the board. I am a solid metal-head but I love playing bluegrass, oldies and straight-up rock as well.

A few of my previous efforts can be heard at myspace.com/terrorsharks & myspace.com/frame223.

If interested, contact my gmail account: cody.mcmahan.bass

Influences:

Pennywise, Against Me!, AFI ("Shut Your Mouth and Open Your Eyes"-era), the Misfits, the Avett Brothers, Bane, the Arcade Fire, the Blood Brothers, Franz Ferdinand, the Dead Milkmen, Johnny Cash, The Hives, The Smiths, In Flames, the Strokes, Municipal Waste, Agnostic Front, the Zombies, the Animals, Belle & Sebastian, Darkest Hour, HORSE the Band, Creedence Clearwater Revival, the Dwarves, Joy Division, Electric Six, the Rolling Stones, Dead Kennedys, the Pogues, Marshall Tucker Band, Gang of Four, Guns and Roses, the Stranglers, Hot Hot Heat, Dropkick Murphys, Elvis Presley, Weezer, Dethklok, Franky Valli and the Four Seasons, the Futureheads, Gaelic Storm

Equipment List:

'79 Peavey Stack with two 12" speakers, P-Bass that I gutted and put Seymour-Duncan pickups in.

I have a Sigma acoustic guitar.

In addition, I have Reason 3.0 for my computer with a MIDI keyboard but my key skills are moderate at best. I ususally just make catchy little riffs on the keys.

I've also got a few mixer boards, pre-amps, and speakers for a PA back in NC that I can get if things ever got serious. I can also supply a few XLR cables.
