ABOUT

Wanting to record music and gig with people that are creative and into good songwriting & composition... People that will do what it takes to make the part work for the sake of the song..

<----- Start Disclaimer ---->

Looking to write an entirely new batch of songs not revisit any of our previous material...
Sooooo don't let the style or vibe of the songs posted to this profile depict 'who we are' in your cranium...MmmmKay?

<------- End Disclaimer ----->

We have taken a bit of a hiatus and are looking to seriously record a CD and get out there and play live again from time to time...

We are well past trying to become rockstars... but do understand the importance of making radio ready music..being polished in live performance... packaging it nicely.... marketing it... and keeping up with CURRENT musical trend/styles and being relevant... Just in case... Luck decides to happen... ;)

We are a husband and wife duo in our 30s...
We were worship leaders at a church for about 7 years...
Been in lots of bands...and participated in many projects...

Our last project was a pretty serious "Christian" band a year or so ago...
did some gigs across the US...and had a good time.

We opened for a headliner (Jars of Clay) in California... (1000+ people)
and played a handful of other decent sized gigs before it ended.

We use Ableton Live lots in a LIVE settings for a BIGGER than life sound (Orchestral, overdubs and effects that are impossible to play in a Live setting & rhythmic/electronic sounding noises and stuff.)... would like people that can play fluidly with a click track...

We write all originals... might do a cover or two if the vibe of the group fits the vibe of the song...

No Metal, No Jackson/Charvel or 7 string guitars, No Country, No double bass drum pedals or sets, No Mullets, No people stuck in the 80s, no body odor, must have a car, must not live out of a car, must understand that Less is More.... think in layers... leave pockets for other parts to be heard and know what dynamics are...over excessive soloing/shredding and overplaying cymbals is prohibited.. ;)

Simply stated, we prefer tasteful/creative and melodic musicians in their mid/late 20s to mid 40s... that play with instinct and sensitivity to the song and the vibe... If you can't hear a lyric that is a whisper... how on earth do you expect a strategically placed scream to change the atmosphere?

We have played live well over 100 times together....

Not really looking at labeling the next project as 'Christian' so don't let our
religious leanings be a factor... but know we won't do songs about Pimps and Hoes...
or anything that we would not let our family, friends & kids listen to...

This go around we would rather just 'let it be'...
what it is naturally gonna be...
play wherever we are meant to play...
and just make some music... without limits of yadda... yackitty or schmackity...

PS: If you are not into the influences we have stylistically & if you don't have a steady flow of musical ideas of your own (parts, arrangements, riffs or even full songs) .. It's safe to say you probably aren't gonna fit in this particular project...

Have studio setup & have practice space with a refrigerator in it.

We will add bass and drums to the mix once the melodic core is established...

For consideration, Please send all demos if your playing and pics to coreyglaze(at)(dot)com
