Couch Lady is a positive collaboration of musicians that are passionate about bringing God glory, and having fun with music.

What kind of music does Couch Lady make?...
The musicians of Couch Lady are tied together by a common thread of diverse musical backgrounds. This diversity lends to the overall musical hodgepodge that makes up the sound of Couch Lady. Influences range from progressive, jam rock to fusion jazz and acoustic blues. The ultimate goal of Couch Ladies' music is to first, bring glory to God, then to make you groove.

Who is Couch Lady?...
Couch Lady is a fellowship of diverse, but like-minded musicians. The corporate goal of this merry band of brothers is to communicate through music, to a specific social entity. This social aspect is an integral part of Couch Lady's existence. The individuals of Couch Lady feel as if it is the sole duty of every person in the band to reach out and declare our positive message to real people, not corporations or clear channel. (Caveat: While our message is always positive, in specific instances, our songs may address the low places of our eternal positive progression.)

What does a Couch Lady performance look/sound like?..
Seeing as though the social aspect of Couch Lady is so important to the overall being of Couch Lady, we hold our live performances in special regard. At any Couch Lady performance we hope to create a social experience, with God as the focus. These provisions are made to avoid the typical hedonistic performances that often lead to the glorification of pleasure and the human self. While the elements of pleasure and human indulgence do exist in Couch Lady's music and live performances, we try not to capitalize on it.

What does the name, Couch Lady mean?...
Nothing. Our name is a mere extenuation of our desire to communicate that we do not take ourselves too seriously. While we do take our message seriously, the idea of becoming a self loathing band makes each of us shutter. Yes, that means we probably do not have a merch table with cool lights and picture taken in the middle of a field with THAT font.

Though our name is crazy (awesome) and means nothing, our message means everything. Each one of us will tell you that following Jesus Christ is the only way to truly live and to never die. This band is the result of a dream that God has given us. A dream that will give people a chance to be changed musically, spiritually, and eternally.

Our main interest is to show God's love, to shine His light, and to do His will.
