ABOUT

I am a 31 year old drummer/ percussionist living in Cary, NC. I’ve got a beautiful wife and two great children that I devote most of my time to. I’ve also got a passion for music, performing, and teaching. My education includes a Bachelors of Arts in Percussion Performance from Virginia Tech. and a Masters of Music in Studio Jazz Drumming from the University of Miami. I have been fortunate to study with some great musicians including Howard Curtis, Dr. John Floyd, Chip McNeil, Steve Bagby, and Steve Rucker. I can be found playing music at weddings, private parties, restaurants, and various other venues around the Raleigh area.
I can also be found at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church on Sundays at 10:30am playing with the praise band.

I have been blessed to play with and be around some great musicians including Stephen Anderson, John Bass, Ron Baxter, Steve Boletchek, Paul Bomar, Doug Carter, Dan Davis, Laura Didier, Martin Eagle, Jason Foureman, Don Gladstone, Handsom Alan Heckle, Steve Hobbs, Peter Innocenti, Joe Izzo, Peter Lamb, Rick Lassiter, Jim Martinez, Rick McDuffie, Chip McNeill, Ed Moon, Grant Osborne, Ben Palmer, Andy Paolantonio, Guy Percy, Chris Reynolds, Michael Pelz Sherman, Kevin Van Sant, John Simonetti, Scott Warren, Mark Wells, Dave and Lola Youngman.

Blue Concept was featured at the Winston Salem Jazz Co-op in June of 2008. I’ve also been honored to play for various public figures including John Edwards and a private party for President George Bush and Pat McCrory in Raleigh, NC.
