IN THE BEGINNING, back in 2013, a group of very talented musicians from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania decided to start a band to pay tribute to the most notorious rock band in the world, Motley Crue. What grew from that was “Live Wire, The #1 Motley Crue Tribute Band” and their audience grew quickly to include fans from all over the east coast. Their chosen band name not only pays honor to an early Motley Crue hit, it also perfectly describes the truly electric crowd reaction they get at their shows.

They quickly realized that Motley Crue fans all over the country have a need to “keep the party going” as Motley Crue announced their final tour. Three times, they have filled the Hard Rock Café in Pittsburgh to capacity and regretfully, the venue had to turn many people away. Their debut there was reported as the largest crowd The Hard Rock has ever seen. Fans would flock to all of their shows from all over Northeastern USA to get their Crue fix. From very early on, they would hear that they’re the first tribute band the fans have seen that truly encapsulate everything that Motley Crue stands for. Since then, they’ve been getting calls to appear all over New York, Maryland, Ohio, West Virginia and in their own backyard. Fans are requesting they appear as far away as Michigan!

These guys have it all. They’ve got the look, the attitude and most importantly, they’ve got the musical ability and talent to create a true Motley Crue experience for their fans. They have been stunning audiences with their larger than life stage presence, realistic appearance and special effects and their iconic looking costumes and makeup. Their opening gig as LIVE WIRE proved that the fans were looking for exactly what they have to offer. With barely any advertising at all, the show brought in 150+ fans on Halloween night in a small town in Western Pennsylvania, and it was a night to remember!

Live Wire is not just an 80’s tribute band. They have an impressive set list that is comprised of literally everything Motley Crue has ever done from their early beginning punk-glam rock days to their 80’s hits and right up to their more modern Crue songs, spanning literally thirty years worth of music. Fans are always delighted to hear their favorite Crue songs that even Motley Crue hasn’t performed in years.

LIVE WIRE’s lineup includes Dave “Nikki Sixx” Douglas (bass guitar, backing vocals), Guy “Tommy Lee” Cole (drums, backing vocals), Allen “Mick Mars” Lamacz (lead guitar, shredder, backing vocals) and Billy “Vince Neil” Greer (vocals, guitar). Some of these members (we can’t say who’s who, because they don’t come out of the makeup) have also been touring for years with DEUCE, the nation’s longest running and much loved Kiss tribute band.

During their time as LIVE WIRE, they’ve played numerous venues and have taken pride in the fact that they’re always asked to come back again. What sets these guys apart from all of the other Motley Crue cover bands in the US? They’re not a cover band. They are a true TRIBUTE to a much loved and respected band that they’ve all followed for years. They’ve gone to the shows, bought the music and all the merchandise, followed Motley from city to city and bought tickets to be in the Crue’s Nest. One of the behind-the-scenes members has even traveled to Las Vegas to see Motley Crue during their residency and got to meet Vince Neil at his club Girls, Girls, Girls. The point is, these guys are Crueheads and ONLY true Crueheads can devote this much passion, this much energy and this much reality into creating an experience their fans relate to being the closest thing they’ve ever seen to being live at a Motley Crue concert.

Their vivid and graphic stage scenery, realistic props and enticing backdrop are what ultimately add the finishing touches, creating a one of a kind reproduction for the fans, giving them the whole compilation which engrosses the audience in a true 80s rock adventure.

Straight from the Sunset Strip, all the way to the rolling hills and valleys of Pennsylvania, Live Wire brings all of the excitement, wild antics, big hair and larger than life sound of the original bad boys from Los Angeles, MOTLEY CRUE! They transport fans back to the days of headbanging, mayhem and wild nights. They are guaranteed to bring any crowd to its feet and keep them begging for more!
