Lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist (some lead) have fronted numerous bands since the 60's and played bass in others. Have many originals and can do many covers. Have played hundreds of gigs. I also do solo acoustic gigs and I usually play (and often host) the open mic at Cannon Mine Coffee House in Lafayette on Wednesday nights.
The 20 mp3 files you can LISTEN TO here are either with my former band, Shifty Gears (SG), me doing all the parts myself (DR) or with a real old band, Rowdy Duty (RD). My curent band has been doing music from the 60's to today but we have just lost our drummer.. We are now a 3 piece with me on lead vocals and guitar, Brian Nutsch on lead guitar, keyboards & vocals, and Gregory Morris on bass. Influences:

Elvis Costello, Van Morrison, Love, 10cc, City Boy, Zappa, Ween, Beatles, Stones, Dylan, 60's, reggae, ska. My favorite artists played lots of styles with lots of influences. My writing has rock, blues, folk, country, ska and reggae influences, very often (like most of my influences) with a humorous bent.

Equipment List:

Fender Strat, Alvarez acoustic, Fender bass, Gibson 12 string. Johnson "J" Station, Fender Blues Jr. amp, various F/X pedals. Lots of recording gear, some PA.
I also have use of (and hope to eventually buy) a Fluxtone Speaker. If you are a tube amp player who loves tube distortion but can't get your sound without playing too loudly, you need one of these.
