Band to Join.ABOUT
I am a guitarist in my late 20s looking to join a band or bands playing the following or a combination of these styles in no certain order:
1. Americana- Son Volt, Wilco, Drive By Truckers, etc
2. Country- Classic Stuff. No modern. Willie, George Jones, Buck Owens, etc
3 .Classic Rock- 70s and earlier. Stones, Beatles, Zeppelin, Grateful Dead, Neil Young etc. DO NOT want to play 80s hair metal.
4 .Oldies- Rock N Roll, rockabilly from 50s.
5. Blues
I am willing to play originals or covers or a mix.
I can play lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass, and lap steel proficiently.
I can also play mandolin and banjo (not bluegrass caliber but can get around on them)
I am open to joining a group that plays just 1 of the above mentioned styles.
Would like to practice once-twice a week and maybe gig a couple times a month.
