ABOUT

Solid Drummer available for a band or to start a band in the Classic Hard Rock/Album Oriented Rock (AOR) band. I am doing some shows with my old band Crosswind in Kansas. I want to be in a band like that again and part of a good group of good people who are believers in AOR Rock and putting out a powerful rock musical performance. I am REALLY not into "today's sound", and with the videos posted you can see I know what makes a good vocalists (no autotune) and what constitutes a good guitarists, I don't need to be convinced. I am not allergic to wood shedding for rehearsals when we are ready. I am NOT looking for a situation where we practice 4 times and then are "ready to gig", although the videos are after I practiced with these guys 3 times over that last 8 months after not playing with anyone in over 30 years.

I want to be in a band that plays the cool FM "AOR" music. Seeking older seasoned musicians who do not want to be a bar band. I want to start a video and social media band, and get a following like Crosswind had, and those never leave. This will probably be the last band I will be in, so seeking liked minded people to do some special and exceptional music. That BIG sound! Guitars, KEYS, throbbing bass, and BIG DRUMS, killer VOX too. Nothing self indulgent, all for "the SHOW" and high energy. I have been searching. If you are a 40-60 player either a bassist or guitarist seeing the same horizon as myself then reply, let's talk. Flavor is below

Types of Music? Late 70s to 80s. Best music ever! SYTX, Heart, TOTO, Boston, Henry Lee Summer and other cool "one hit wonders" nobody remembers (BUT THEY REMEMBER THE SONGS!), Bob Seger, Head East, Fleetwood Mac, Shooting Star, Michael Stanley Band, Steve Earl, Sniff n' the Tears, Three Doors down, Halestorm, Evanescence, Joe Satrani and Eric Johnson and some older covers we can "make our own" from the AOR catalog. Have a few originals, as you probably do as well. The "covers" are songs we make our own and are not the tired played out covers everyone else does. I can't emphasize that enough. I am a professional, and am not looking to tour or just play bars, but to put a great local AOR band together or join one.

Influences

Just about any classic rock that my former bands and musicians I used to play with. Tommy Aldridge, Carl Palmer, some progressive rock drummers, and some of the regular "2 and 4" throw down the beat and keep it solid, types. Some of the 40 some musicians I have played with have inspired me as well.

Bob Seger, Vonda Shepard, Eric Johnson, Heart, Journey, 3 doors, Lifehouse, VH, RUSH, Queensryche, Deep Purple, Head East, YES...... way way too many and too numerous for so many reasons. GOOD OLD NOSTALGIC CLASSIC ROCK.
