About
Steve Lucas began playing drums at the age of 10. He performed with his junior and senior high marching band drumlines, and was awarded the John Phillip Soussa Award for outstanding musicianship. He has performed with Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps and at 19 was an intern percussionist with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. Steve has performed with various blues and country bands over the years, and was a member of the Birmingham, AL based rock cover-band Feverdog from 2007 to 2009. Steve was also the drummer for country artist Jessie Lee in 2010. He is the current drummer for the country cover band Sexy Tractor and the Tom Petty tribute band The Wildflowers. He is also a member of the Nashville Songwriterâ??s Association International as an aspiring singer/songwriter.
