My name is Daniel I am 25 and recently moved to Saint Cloud from Oshkosh Wisconsin. I am looking for other Musicians of any instrument or vocal style with similar and varied interests to play with. I have been playing the piano for 20 years. I am a junior having had 2 years at Oshkosh and will start at Saint Cloud in the fall. I am a Music Major, I have finished 4 semesters of Theory already. I have done a little singing in the University Choir in Oshkosh and the singing for my Aural skills classes, and I have also begun to learn to throat sing for fun. I have played Baroque (Johann Sebastian Bach), Classical (Mozart), Romantic (Beethoven, Chopin), Impressionist (Debussy), Modern (Scott Joplin), and 20th century (George Gershwin) music through the school.
I also play from Lead Sheets/Chord Tabs. My true love musically is Improvisation, it is what really made me love music in the first place. I am looking for people who are Friendly and Dedicated to music. I am very open to suggestions to new music. I don't have a band plan in particular but I am interested in playing out when we feel ready. Most importantly I am looking for a Relaxed Jam session, that would hopefully include improvisation, and interesting conversation. I have 2 speakers, mixer, microphone, chords, and a place to play. I have a digital piano that replicates the sound of a real piano fairly well, but also includes a variety of other useful sounds ranging from symphonic to world music to rock to techno to jazz so a fuller and more varied sound can be created. My ideal group size would be 1-4 people total but that is flexible.
