ABOUT

People are first and foremost the most important aspect to me. Some of the best players of their instrument may not be people you can hang out with or have a normal conversation with. This is critical when a band can have 3, 4 or 5 different people, each person has to be able to successfully deal with others. Good people to me are more important than a guy who can play Van Halen's Eruption note for note, but you can't spend 15 minutes with them outside of the band. Good people can grow to be better musicians and the band benefits.

If I could find the right group of people, 35ish and up, that enjoy hanging out and making music, that's appealing to me.

Music should be about having a good time (originals or covers) and if it's good enough, eventually share it with folks for them to enjoy.

Currently deployed but will be back in Dec. Contact information if interested in communicating.

Influences

For listening I like a little bit of everything from rock, blues, country, metal, pop and some hip hop if its "hooky" and not just "rappy". In regards to playing bass I prefer more rock (some hard, some pop rock and yes some 80's hair bands) and blues or metal. Not screaming metal, but more melodic metal. I can enjoy 60s/70s singer/songwriters like James Taylor or Jim Croce to 80's bands like Great White, Skid Row, Cinderella, to 90's Nirvana to what some would say are modern rock bands like Papa Roach, BuckCherry or Shinedown. I'm diverse in my tastes and to me good music is good music, regardless of the genre.
