ABOUT

Check out my videos /daveschachne, or just google Dave Schachne. Call me on (518) 542-3821. I'm an Award-Winning Songwriter, Band Leader with Vocals, Lead Guitar, Finger Style Acoustic Guitar, multi-instrumentalist. I love stage & studio.
Looking for a drummer who can play anything from "Midnight Rambler" (live Stones) to "Trenchtown Rock" (Marley) to "Hot Rod Lincoln" (ridin' the train) to upbeat Latin feels, like "Everybody's Everything" (Santana). I'm looking for a bass player who can play "Peg" (Steely Dan) or "Sneekin'Sally" (R. Palmer); a player who doesn't have to show off (but can); a player who loves locking with the kick; a bass player who covers the BOTTOM end ( . . . not a frustrated guitar slinger).
Seeking another capable guitar player, for rhythm and lead work, who's into my influences and likes my originals.
Seeking multi-keyboardist/organ/piano player. Seeking vocalists. Seeking percussionist.

EQUIPMENT

I often prefer acoustic drums to electronic drum kits, but I'm open to excellence. I prefer P-bass, but again open to any bass with full bottom end. The ability to follow/read chord charts & occassional notation will be a plus.
I currently (and generally) play Les Pauls & Tele through Fender M-80 and Ampeg VT-40 amps. My main effects are overdrive & delay (wah).
