I'll make this quick:
I go to UMass Amherst and mostly listen to death metal and electronic, but enjoy anything that is either melodic, energetic, or technically impressive... but for a band, anything that is fun to play honestly. If I could be in any sort of band right now, I think it would be in a pop-punk band with a female vocalist like Paramore or Hey Monday, or a metal band....
I've been playing electric guitar about 7 years and I really like speed metal melodic/lead type things, but I'm no expert at shredding.
