ABOUT

At home, I'll sing in just about every genre. When I have performed recently, it is usually cabaret-style music. The Great American Song Book. Sondheim. Some cross-over - like Leonard Cohen, or the Beatles, acoustic. The category section only allows three areas, but I am pretty much a cross-over singer. I can sing material from singer/songwriter, folk. Some classic jazz (Sarah Vaughn, Carmen McRae) I can sing country music (Patsy Cline, Reba McIntyre, Dixie Chicks etc.). With some rehearsal and practice, I can sing in French, Spanish, even a little Vietnamese. I don't speak Gaelic, but I'm happy to sing Celtic music and rehearse that as well. In short, I love to sing, and will reach into other genres with the right musical team.
I am currently working exclusively as half of Cabaret Divas, a two-woman cabaret act. We are performing shows that include an eclectic blend of Broadway, American songbook, popular, singer/songwriter, R&B, contemporary music. EQUIPMENT

A piano or keyboard is all I'd need - an accompanist. A cello or upright bass might be nice once in a while, or other strings. Sax. Clarinet. Acoustic Guitar. Electric guitar. Drums. But, honestly, just me and a keyboard of some kind works.
