ABOUT

I have been a very committed drummer for most of my life. Work tends to keep me somewhat busy, but I still try to practice whenever I can. I am definitely not a beginner. I love to play more complicated music and drum parts, and i would say that I am an above-average to advanced level drummer. I have had some experience playing with other musicians, but i haven't really been in a full-on band. But I am very good at jamming and improvising. I am definitely fit to play with experienced musicians.

Influences

My main influence is Matt Halpern of the prog metal band Periphery. My style is much like Halpern's, as I tend to utilize the entire drum kit at all times rather than confining myself to certain parts of the kit at certain times. Ex- Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy has also been a huge influence. Last but not least, Blake Richardson of Between the Buried and Me is also an important influence (BTBAM is also my #1 favorite band, by the way). I have also been influenced by most of Herbie Hancock's former drummers.
