Bio:
DJ DT3 or Digital Teddy’s genre-blending sound is based heavily on instrumental and electronic music crossed with elements of funk, jazz, drum and bass, psychedelic, and hip hop. Self-described as "post-rock dance music". Though instrumental, DT3 sometimes implements vocal samples to diversify the sounds with either hooks or atmosphere. Digital T3ddy has released four albums and two EPs in the past four years all on his own label, DT3 Productions. DT3’s forth album “One Track Mine” was a massive step forward from it’s drum and bass predecessor “Pictures in Motion” His new compositions express the power and emotion of his live shows as well as the his connection with the listeners. Each song tells tales of hardships growing up in South Philadelphia, triumphs in life, and views in government, environment, and social concerns. DT3 has made himself widely known in Philadelphia and the surrounding cities by playing house parties, small venues and running a street team of over 40 members. In the last three years Digital T3ddy has been featured on Comcast’s “Battle of the Bands” in HD program, has had two write ups in City Paper regarding his newest album and a show review, and hosted 3 different underground electronica raves in random, undisclosed locations. T3ddy was responsible for “A Night In the Pines” which took place July 18, 2008 in the New Jersey Pine-barrens. It was a one-night dance party for 400 plus attendants with 3 bands and 5 DJs. He has also been experimenting, since then, with live musicians and other DJs to create a new breed of instrumental music dubbed Livetronica. Digital T3ddy, while playing gigs nearly every week, is currently in the studio recording his newest effort.
