We are a Bass player, drummer, and Guitarist/Singer actively looking for a singer/guitarist to help us complete our cover band. We all love rock music of all types, but all have a big love of the bands that rocked it in the 90's through the present day. You don't hear too many bands doing that around here so we figured it would be fun to make a 90's to now rock cover band. Grunge, alt rock, punk, rockabilly, hard rock; if it rocks and we all wanna play it, it goes into the set list.

We have been a band for about 7 months as a 4 piece and have a show under our belts, but unfortunately one of our guitarists/singers is leaving the area, so we are now back to our original trio and can't forget how complete the 2 guitar/4 piece sound really is for this style of music. Hell, even Nirvana needed Pat Smear.

Us: 3 guys with pro gear, a lockout rehearsal space in south Austin, and a love for rock music. This band for us is about FUN, which is what we stress most of all. That is to say though, we are dedicated and definitely work to get tunes sounding good and practice to make them tight, but we just have fun doing it. Ages are 27-43 and we all have families and full time day jobs and responsibilities. We are all dedicated to this band and as friends, but our life priorities come first. We have been operating this way with very little issues and we all really enjoy when we get together once or twice a week to jam. Our goal is to play a few shows, but we won't be hitting the road to tour the world and make it big. Just wanna have fun, play some tunes, make some money if we can, but the main point is to have fun and play out from time to time.

We are chill guys who love joking around, having a few beers, and playing the music we love. We've tasted the full band sound and have all come to remember why we picked up our instruments and started playing music in the first place. Now we need somebody else to round out that full sound that only two guitars can provide. In an area so saturated with music, gigging, and bands, it is refreshing to have that feeling of why you started playing.

You: Ideally, a singer with a great voice who knows how to play guitar and has a rig worthy of the stage. For a cover band, versatility is paramount. As are Harmonies. We truly believe good harmonies are what separates the men from the boy bands. We already play a wide range of artists and we want to add more all the time. Therefore range is important. You don't have to sing every song, but those that you want to sing you can nail. We want you to bring to the table your own brand of fire to add to the mix. You likely already know some tunes by some of the bands below and in a perfect world you would turn on your webcam, grab your acoustic and nail a kick ass song and throw it on be so you can send it to us. If you can bring it unplugged then you sure as hell can do it plugged in. Whatever works and "sounds" like you sound, we wanna hear it. We are flirting with the possibility of having a singer and a separate guitar player, but ideally you can do both, or you already know or have the versatile singer in mind and you can bring them along for the ride. You have similar goals, have a good sense of humor (a must for this group) and enjoy having a fun time playing music. You can commit at least 1 day a week to practice during the weekday evenings/nights, and have a little flexibility in your schedule to mix it up if needed.

If you are looking to tour, play 10 shows a month, make money, and "make it big," well, we've been there and just looking through the ads on Craigslist, well you know there are no shortage of peeps with those aspirations. That's not why we are here. A show in Houston or Ft. Worth on the weekend? Sure, sounds good. Other than that playing around town is where we are steering.

We are drama free and focus on rocking and fun and decide as a group what we play and when we play out. It's a team mentality and when we balance things out again it's gonna kill.

If you are interested in trying out to jam with us, shoot an email with a little about yourself, your gear, goals, likes, and why you love music from the 90's era. And most importantly for right now tell us about your voice and your guitar ability. We're not looking for a shredder, but again if you can play a riff or a lead or two, then again that versatility is what's going to catch our attention. We've posted this ad before and it worked and we found the chemistry we were looking for. But not before going through A LOT of responses. So really we're just trying to say if you are interested and you want to respond, the more information you can provide the better. We're going to take our time to get it right, so please take your time and tell us how you'll fit in and what you bring to the table. If you have video or audio of you playing, throw it at us. We've got some video we'll be happy to send in return so you can see if we're what you are looking for just the same.

Right now we've got close to a 1.5 hour set list. Our other guitarist/singer sang close to half or those songs, and our goal for 2013 is to have the magic 3 hour set so we can grab those headlining gigs that cover most of the night and hopefully will at least cover our bar tab.

If you are up for it, give us a yell.
