ABOUT

Been playing guitar for about 5 years now. Wouldn't say I'm great, but I am ok at working through things. At the point in my life (29) where I'm tired of playing on my own and would love to get something together with people, if nothing more than to have some fun. I mainly play accoustic and electric rhythm guitar but I'm somewhat versed in computer aided beats and synths. I've had this idea of starting with covers to get a feel for playing with others but would love to try some originals. Have this idea for a band that's equal parts folk and pop with some grittiness mixed in for good measure.

Influences

Been really into the new wave of acoustic/folk music that's been getting around lately. That being said, I could easily listen to Mumford and Sons back to back with Jay-Z, so you see how all over the place I am. Other than that I'm influenced by the Beatles (who isn't), Smashing Pumpkins, Beck, The Cure, FLaming Lips, The Lumineers, Avett Brothers, Clapton, Paul Simon, old school R&B, Cash...I'm an equal opportunity listener.

EQUIPMENT

Martin acoustic guitar, Fender American Strat, Propellerhead Reason, M-Audio Axiom 49
