Drummer seeking band:
20+ years playing experience.
18 years gigging experience.
Versatile enough to play, and experienced in, all styles from Country through Heavy Metal and have played in clubs all around the Southeast.
I am not an acrobat behind the kit. I don't do a lot of twirling and flipping the sticks, and certainly don't balance them on my nose :).
That's all cool as hell to watch it's just never been my style.
However, with all the years playing I do have significant stage presence behind the kit and the ability to fit that presence to whatever style we are playing.(I.E. I wouldn't plan to be headbanging if we were playing a country tune)
Rock solid rythym. I can sit back and play solid grooves in the pocket and/or play syncopated beats all around it.
Current equipment is a 7-piece Pacific Drum kit (Best sounding kit I ever owned), Sabian and Zildian cymbals on a rack system for quick setup and breakdown. I do not currently have a full set of drum mics and prefer not to use triggers. I can possibly pick up my own mics sometime in June but would need to use some until then.(Anybody say economic stimulus package?)
Currently seeking an established band with gigs lined up, a forming band with the right contacts to line up gigs once the songs are put together, or a group of musicians at least one of which already has PA equipment.
I am based out of Montgomery Alabama. Distance is only relatively important. If you are looking to rehearse 2+ times a week with limited shows then the closer to Montgomery the better. If you are looking to rehearse 2+ times a week but have steady well paying gigs then the distance is not as important. If you are well established and only looking to rehearse as needed to work in new material then the distance really doesn't matter as long as the shows are within a driveable distance.
I am currently looking to join a band full time preferably in the rock genre, but would be willing to do fill-in work.
I am mainly looking for a band performing covers. I do enjoy writing and performing original material and would be cool with doing so as a part of the band or on the side, however an all original band is just not financially feasible for me at this point.
I am very dependable and professional and VERY easy to get along with.
I have references available and can audition and/or be available to start at any time.
Message me for more info including contact numbers.
