ABOUT

I bought my first fender bass guitar back in 7th grade when I was 12. There was a group of us that enjoyed music so much that we all played instruments... mainly guitars. There was always talk about forming a band, but I guess we weren't serious enough to actually start one. Plus, it always seemed hard to find a dedicated drummer. It wasn't until my high school years until I bought my first Ibanez electric guitar. I would jam out from time to time with month gaps here and there, I guess I wasn't that dedicated to playing either. I graduated high school and a year later I joined the military. After a year in the military I bought my first Ibanez acoustic guitar (see the trend, I guess Ibanez is my guitar of choice). I traveled everywhere with that guitar and hardly ever put it down. It's been with me from Florida, to California, to Japan, to Iraq, and back to the East coast. I started writing songs in 2008 while in Iraq and learned a lot more about music and the guitar from a few friends while out there. After Iraq, I started recording some of my songs and soon afterwards I took a long break while I enjoyed messing with cars and mechanics. It wasn't until recently, 2013, I started writing and recording songs again. I became so involved in writing, recording, and trying to learn as much as I can about music - I bought a drum set, keyboard, and more guitars and started collaborating with multiple instruments. I even went as far as dedicating one of the rooms in my house as a studio. Now the entire room is filled with instruments and the walls are covered with acoustic panels and bass traps. This is something I really enjoy and plan to do for a really long time - or until I burn myself out of making music, hah. My biggest inspiration in music when growing up was Marilyn Manson, he has a special way of writing and twisting words around themselves and singing it all in one that makes it sound brilliant. You add that with the guitar riffs and drums in the band's songs and you can make anything sound good. My biggest inspiration recently has got to be Nirvana. Although it has been many years since the death of Kurt and many years since new material has been released, the music still lives on and the music is still reaching out to people today - young and old. So, I think it would be awesome to be in a band where everything seems to click and beautiful things can happen. But for now, it's just me and the instruments I can somewhat play - hah. Until then, enjoy the music!
