About

I've been into music since I was three, my mom was a piano teacher, so she started me out young. My biggest strength is that I'm skilled at music by ear, I love playing and singing along with others, and can transpose the heck out of just about anything. I appreciate an eclectic variety of music from classical to punk rock, rap to metal, but my favorite style by far is Christian worship music, both hymns and modern rock, I appreciate the lyrical and musical qualities of both... I prefer to play with musicians and vocalists that care about the quality of their music and are always striving to be better... I've done worship sets that are meticulous down to the measure, and others that are on the fly, I'm completely fine with either... most of my bands have been pretty stripped down affairs with just a couple guitars, a drummer/djembe, and a vocalist or two. As far as songs in my repertoire, I've been playing for many years, I can play hundreds, probably thousands of songs just with the words on a page (the chords are permanently etched in my memory) in whatever key you prefer... I love playing live shows, but especially appreciate the smaller venues where everybody feels like they're part of it and getting into it, than hordes of people just watching you. I don't have to play with a band, I'm fine with solo piano and guitar as well...

Equipment List

I like pianos, especially grands. I'm also a fan of Roland full-size electronic pianos, I've owned two. As far as guitars, I have a Martin acoustic-electric, and a Fender Strat electric. Amps, I have a Marshall chorus 2-channel amp with two 10's. Other equipment, I have a Peavey six channel mixer, with two mic stands and two condenser mics; I also use Acid Music Studio 7.0 for my album mixes.
