My name is Doug, I am 27-years-young, and live in New Castle, PA. I am a vocalist (exhale screams, guttural growls and some singing). To answer the "taboo" question, yes, BLACK PEOPLE LISTEN TO METAL! LOL... Now that we've gotten that out of the way... I've been playing in bands for 10-12 years. Such bands include: All Flesh Dies, Death of a Dying Breed, Under Dark Sky, Breathing Ether, Phantom Vineyard, The Runs, Blacklist, and more. I'm proud to say that I have a couple hundred shows under my belt. I'm looking to play with people that accept my Christian, spiritual and religious beliefs. I don't have an issue playing with anyone, I just want my beliefs to be respected, just as I would respect anyone else's. However, the genre doesn't necessarily have to be "Christian," but I am looking for people who don't drink or smoke to excess, fight or anything else that may cause negativity. I want to stay away from all the negatives things that can cause complications in a band; I have seen it all! I have a wife and kid to come home to, so no drama.

I am easy-going, easy to get along with, and I love connecting with different types of people.

If you are interested in what kind of style I am looking forward to doing, READ FURTHER DOWN THE PAGE! If you don't know any of the bands, which you should know a few, if you listen to Metalcore or slightly Deathcore, then check them out to see if we have similar musical tastes. PLEASE TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION... If you never heard of Metalcore or Deathcore, 9-10 says we probably don't have the same taste in music. If the heaviest music you listen to is anything that doesn't sound remotely aggressive, 9-10 says we don't have the same musical tastes.

IF YOU LIKE TECHNICAL/AGGRESSIVE RIFFS MIXED WITH BRUTAL, SLOW, CHUG-FILLED BREAKDOWNS AND RIDICULOUS 2-KICK and BLAST BEATS, THEN WE WILL BE A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN! IF YOU'RE NOT INTO THAT, PLEASE DON'T CONTACT ME; it saves us both time, and I don't get my hopes up, only to be brought back down by a message that says "Would you like to play in my Motley Crue Tribute band."

I'VE BEEN OUT OF PERFORMING FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS - I AM MORE THAN READY! I AM 100 PERCENT COMMITTED WHEN I AM IN A BAND. THE LAST TWO BANDS THAT I WAS IN, I HAVE BOOKED EVERY SHOW, MADE EVERY FLIER, MADE AND MAINTAINED EVERY WEB PAGE, CONTACTED AND MAINTAINED PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH PROMOTERS, BOOKED STUDIO TIME, CREATED AND SENT OUT EVERY PRESS-KIT, ANSWERED EVERY FAN EMAIL OR COMMENT, GIVEN FANS RIDES TO SHOWS, PERSONALLY DELIVERED TICKETS TO FANS IF THEY HAD NO OTHER WAY OF GETTING THEM. I WORK HARD FOR ANY BAND THAT I AM IN. MY MAIN GOAL IS TO DO AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE TO GET SIGNED AND GO TO A HIGHER LEVEL. PERFORMING IS ONE THING THAT HAS ALWAYS GIVEN ME AN OUTLET TO BE MYSELF. I AM SERIOUS ABOUT THIS... IT'S COOL TO PRACTICE IN A GARAGE, BUT THIS GUY DOESN'T WANT A BAND THAT ONLY PLAYS IN THE GARAGE!!! I AM LOOKING TO PRACTICE AND PLAY SHOWS! I LIKE TO WRITE LYRICS ON THE SPOT, SO IT DOESN'T TAKE LONG FOR ME TO FINISH A SONG. I AM OPEN TO ANYONE ELSE THAT CONTRIBUTES TO WRITING AS WELL. ALSO, I HATE COVERING SONGS!!! I DON'T BELIEVE A BAND CAN BE CALLED A "BAND" IF THEIR SET CONSISTS OF 5 COVER SONGS... THAT MEANS YOU ARE A COVER BAND! I LIKE FRESH CREATIVITY, THINGS THAT WILL CHALLENGE YOUR ABILITY TO WRITE MUSIC, AND THINGS THAT WILL CHALLENGE YOU TO BE A BETTER BAND.

I had a pretty decent Peavey PA system; however, I just got rid of it.. Raven combo with Nady wireless mic system. If I am in a stable band, I will invest in better equipment.
