About
Accomplished pro slide/lead guitarist, singer and songwriter w/30 years experience seeks worthy steady-working pro band that is looking for bodacious soul power behind the guitar's voice in their music.
Style best described as Blues Esoterica...
Serious bottleneck slide master (acoustic or electric, standard or open tunings) and inspired lead and rhythm guitarist. Capable lead and harmony singer. I can play nearly anything, but I dig rockin'/rootsy/bluesy stuff the most.
Schooled in theory and harmony (but still love to rock!), professional and conscientious with no substance abuse problems, freaky attitudes or "issues". I understand dynamics, and how a pro rehearsal should be run. Roadworthy, easy to get along with, great sense of humor. I use gear tweaked for singing tone. A lot of years went into my quest for righteous tone.
I strive to enhance what any tune already has going for it, through playing within the context of the composition, and with taste. If it doesn't strengthen the tune overall, I'd rather not play it. I get plenty of fulfillment from "serving the song" and playing a supportive role. As for leads - I know when to lay out... but I definitely will attract serious attention when it's time to rip!
Will travel with the right gig. I'm in this for love of the music, but I'm worth cash, baby!
