Down By Five is an original alternative/rock/reggae band based out of Raleigh, NC. We released our third album, After Party, last summer and are currently working on a new set of recordings. We are also looking for a new drummer right now.

We're looking for someone that could eventually learn all of the existing catalog and continue to write new music with us in our style of music. An ideal candidate would be someone who's dedicated, dependable and enjoys playing and writing this style of music.

We practice about twice a week in a space that we rent in downtown Raleigh, usually from about 5:00 - 8:00 PM. Additionally, we try to gig about every month and a half or so, mainly locally, but we've also traveled to Charlotte, Greenville and DC, and would like to book shows regionally again in the near future.

Ideally we're looking for someone in our general age range (21-32), but we're flexible there if the right person comes along.
