ABOUT

I like everything that is good in music. I play in rock cover bands, jazz combos with my vibes and small set. Mallets with a piano player. Tympani with orchestras and like to drum traditional music from Ghana. It is all part of my musical buffet and I don't like one over the other. The people that play make a big difference. As long as it is good and fun, i want to play.

Influences

I started with Iron Butterfly, then Alice Cooper and Led Zeppelin, then Charlie Parker and Hank Mobley showed up. I have always had Frank Zappa looking over my shoulder. Stravinksy rocks the classic world and nobody does a show now like Peter Gabriel. I guess I like everything.

Pearl 6 piece set for rock, My old Ringo Ludwig for Jazz, A custom tiny set for coffee houses and singer/songwriters.

I also have a Deagan Vibraphone, Deagan Marimba, Deagon round top orchestra bells, drum collection from Ghana, West Africa and a bunch of things that go bump in the night.
