About
I have played in many bands over the past 30+ years. I am still young at heart and spirt. I have composed 100s of theatrical and soundtrack compositions via midi studio. I played drums professionally for over 10 years. Guitar has been my focus in recent years. I lead and composed most of the material for the band, Outer Limits of several years. I have done a number of original soundtracks for professional theater in the 1980s & 90s. I have played keyboards for a rhythm & blues band once. My keyboard playing is usually used towards achieving the various instrumental compositions I compose. These are usually 4-7 minutes in length. From 1986-1998, I was the co-founder of the cassette label, Unsensored Music. Jacky Ligon and I collaborated on dozens of projects as well as our solo work. We also organized and performed/recorded with the performance art group (a quartet) Silent Tongues. We sent out many 60-90 minute releases world-wide to indy magazines that reviewed cassettes at that time. Our reviews were uniformly outstanding! We appeared in magazines such as (to name a select few), Option, Soundchoice and the Improvisor. We also sent a great deal of promo material to FM radio stations that usually requested our music and several distributors. I have also taught guitar lessons on occasion. I have an associate degree in commercial art & graphic design. I have done abstract photography over the years as well a other design work. This includes computer.
Influences
Too many to name!! My roots are in progressive rock but I have encompassed many genres! Hendrix, Zappa, Yes, Steve Hackett, Esquivel, Coltrane, Jon Hassell, Universe Zero, Bill Nelson, Robert Fripp/King Crimson, Eno, Indian Music, world music, Stravinsky, Bartok, Debussy, Ravel, Ellington, Varese, Villa-Lobos and the avant-garde.
Mostly instrumental or highly creative vocal work. Anything that is cutting-edge or progressive in whatever realm.
