I love to play with experienced musicians. I am friendly, constructive, disciplined and very easy to get along with. I'm new to the Houston area and looking to find a group in which to enjoy playing.

I've played on scholarship in college and with various serious bands as well as "drummer for hire" of different styles in different settings. I am proficient in nearly every style, setting and genre. I greatly enjoy progressive-type music as well as improvising with a purpose.

I am dedicated to my family first, my job second and would like to play music in the spare time. Any gigs would have to be on Fridays or Saturdays.

I have a very good ear, memorize music better than reading it, and am available for weekend gigging with minimal practice. I am available for practice/just-for-fun or paying events such as weddings and other functions.

My style could best be described as a tight, funky, least-common-denominator from my experience playing with live crowds. I can read a crowd's mood and determine the best steps to bring them to their feet to dance, stand back and enjoy, or sit down and go about their business. I mix technical prowess with musicianship to ensure sections come across the best way possible; moving but interesting at the same time.

Some of the biggest influences on a musician's style can be negatively based. Therefore, many bands and performers have influenced my style by showing me "what not to do."

Some of my skills include:
Jazz
Blues
Rock
Country
Jazz brushes
Latin Jazz
Metal (if necessary)
Funk
Reggae
Other
