ABOUT

I have been playing drums since the sixth grade. The day I was supposed to be at my high school graduation ceremony, I was recording Back on the Street Again (a Steve Gillette song) at the old Wooden Nickel studios in Chicago. I was playing with The Larry Lynne Group at the time. Other bands were Down Deep, The Pistols, Alaska, Advance, The Vibe, Crossfire, Liquid Crush and Lukyn Skywyrd. I am now playing with a bunch of guys that not only make great music, but who are great friends. GIMME SKYNYRD takes Southern Rock very seriously and plays all of the songs covered as they were written. We also capture the essence of the genre in our original songs. I teach percussion on a selective basis and am a believer in the rudiments.

I do not compromise on gear. I use nothing but DW drums, 9000 Series hardware, A and K Zildjian cymbals, TreeWorks chimes, Vic Firth sticks, Pro-Mark Hot Rods and Shure mics.
