Dylan Blues Project is a 3 piece Power Trio Blues Band. Everything from Albert Collins to ZZ Top, Delta Blues to Texas Rockin Blues, including their soon to be released originals, will be found in their sets.
D.B.P was originated around 1999 in Pulaski Co. Virginia by founding/current member Avery Dylan (Medicine Jar, Sonic Leon, Haze, & more). He got some of the locals together and the "Dylan Blues Project" was born. They played shows all over the state doing shows at clubs, theatres, festivals, benefits, etc., but eventually that wasn't enough. So, in search of the "right" musicians and larger venues, they moved to Athens Ga. to rebuild and start over again.
Once in Georgia, they focused first on meeting and working with the local talent. In 2006, D.B.P was finally ready to hit the stage again. Now the band had been reformed as a three piece with A.Dylan fronting on Guitars and Vocals, and new drummer/backing Voc.s, Brian Crum (Breeze Kings, Jumpin Jooks, & more), and new bassist/backing Voc.s, Britton Posey (Voodoo Chilli and more). With this new line-up, they are now able to continue what was started.
Better than ever, they are back in action and working full time as musicians. 2007 picked up where '06 left off with D.B.P booking more shows, meeting more people, and doing more things, including recording their debut album:
