ABOUT

Looking for a Drummer and Bassist for a new band with tons of original material.

Drummer should be: Someone who plays hard and loud, fast and loose. The kind of person you put right up front/center. A real basher. Someone who doesn't "play to the song" as much as they command it and push the beat...I'm talking drum fills everywhere. I will include a be link or two below of myself playing drums in a band that I also wrote for a few years back. The videos may give you a better idea of what I like.

Bassist should be: The meat and potatoes of the band. I write these songs with the bass as the main bass/rhythm guitar component while the guitar is the mere cherry on top. Loud, clear overdrive/fuzz tones, loud amps, lots of chords. You won't be stuck playing the root notes of the guitar or fading into the background here.

Listen to the tunes and you'll see the rhythm section is paramount here.

All songs written and recorded entirely by myself. These demos are nothing fancy, but still a clear representation of what the songs would sound like with a full band.

About me: I'll be playing guitar and doing vocals. Someone who can do harmonies/share singing duties with me is definitely a plus. I'm 33, have a car and job and all that good stuff. I play guitar, drums, bass and sing. I write A LOT of songs.
Lets rehearse a few times a week (at least!), play shows, record, tour, have some fun. If you like what you hear then hit me up, there's plenty more.

If possible, please send me some examples of your playing. Video links if you have them or , mp3, be clip, etc...anything you think is representative of your style.

Influences

A few bands I have been listening to often/lately: Metz, Karp, Big Business, Melvins, Tweak Bird, Danava, Helms Alee, Earth, Tame Impala, Gorguts, Ty Segall/Fuzz, Morgan Delt, Thee Oh Sees, Tera Melos, Can, King Crimson, Devo, Sabbath; and so on.

EQUIPMENT

I have a space at downtown rehearsal stocked with Sunn Beta Lead and Verellen amps. I have a Gretsch Catalina Rock Drum kit (big sizes), a ton of pedals, etc. I play fender jazzmasters, a double neck Antares Bass/Guitar and a Gibson SG among many others, including taylor acoustics. I have access to an incredible recording studio, let's rock!
