I started dinkin' around with guitars about 40 years ago... in and out of bands from high school, college years, to a more pro-level experience in the past recent years...
My current project is starting to come together but still searching for someone who can sing a tight, smooth, backup harmony while on guitar, bass or keys. Who's ready to gig?! Please write me: eaglehawk@full-moon.com
I'm playing all the instruments and vocals on the recordings I've posted here; yeah, I know my recording skills are a work in progress... pretty soon I'll get better at that stuff... okay, don't hold your breath. On "Four Strong Winds" I'm accompanied on vocals by Kendra Partida.
If you can't hear the tunes I've put on here try: www.myspace.com/eaglehawkrocks Also at: http://gigleader.com/band/eaglehawk/
I am no longer performing with "Monrovia" or "Unit 56"... I am strictly focused on this project; An Acoustic-Folk/ 60s-70s CLASSIC-ROCK/ Early British-Invasion/ Country-esc type cover band... I'm a very patient mellow guy trying to stay true to the original music as possible; Professional attitude a must.
Photos here are from a few local gigs along with just some of my gear - I've got tons; I had been playing different instruments with various local bands...
I play electric & acoustic guitar (lead & rhythm), bass guitar, keyboards, drums, harmonica, I sing lead vocals to some tunes; banjo, mandolin and the Native American flute... I would prefer to stick to guitar and some vocals.
Crosby, Stills & Nash, Neil Young, James Taylor, Dan Fogelberg, the Eagles, Eric Clapton, CCR, the Dave Clark Five, 60's/70's classic rock and Early British Invasion bands... Gordon Lightfoot, The Beatles, John Denver, SRV, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Buffalo Springfield, The Kinks, The Byrds, The Yardbirds, The Grassroots, Hermins Hermits, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Steppenwolf, The Ventures, The Animals, Diamond Rio, Johnny Cash, Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn, Led Zepplin, America, The Monkees, Marvin Gaye, The Four Tops, Sam Cooke, The Temptations, Booker T & the MG's, Iron Butterfly, Blue Cheer, The Turtles, The Lovin' Spoonful, Small Faces, Johnny Rivers, BTO, ZZTop, Bob Seger; Also, alittle of some 80s/90s bands: Green Day, Matchbox 20, Collective Soul, Gin Blossoms, Black Crowes, John Mellencamp, Modern English, Hootie & the Blow Fish, Foo Fighters, Bad Company, the Calling... and many, many more, yeah, it's a cornicopia of music, however I tend to stay focused on 60's & 70's bands... let's set up a session and see how we blend musically.
GUITARS: Martin, Fender, Guild, Ibanez; AMPS: Fender, Ampeg, Yorkville, Behringer; KEYBOARDS: Yamaha, Roland; PA: Large-venue & Small-club PA; EV & Shure (beta) Mic's, Stage Monitors, large capacity Power Amps (QSC to Samson), three dozen or more BOSS pedals, a dozen or more Mic & AMP Stands; I have a recording studio; with all new gear and getting new stuff all the time. Yeah, I'm serious about makin' music... if you're serious too and have similar interests let's jam, come on you know you want to!
I have a small working practice/recording studio in Draper.
Just me... okay, here's my Christmas list (it's a year-round holiday): I'm looking for talented musicians with similar musical direction and focus to form a retro-ish 60's-70's classic-rock/ acoustic folk-rock/ early-british-invasion type cover band... mellow and layed back is the character make up... this is a no-drugs, no-smoking, no-drinking music environment.
I'm a singer/songwriter but my current focus is not original material, rather acoustic-folk, early british invasion & 60s/70s classic rock cover tunes, with a little country thrown in for kicks.
Do I have an agenda? ABSOLUTELY, it's simple: I want to be part of a talented, dedicated group of musicians who seek to create a smooth, clean, tight cover band.
