Honky-tonk country and the rock-folk hybrid mingle on this Fort Worth resident's fine CD. - Mario Tarradell, Dallas Morning News
Ed Rogers uses the same grit and wit to craft a song that he used to weather his days building oil rigs on Corpus Christi Bay. He reaches into his unique bag of spunky guitar licks, spins a tale of life as a young East Texan, and dusts it with his infectious sense of humor.
Raised in a small East Texas town, Rogers learned his craft at an early age, and began performing as a sideman while living in Austin. After moving to Fort Worth, he made the leap to the microphone and has been entertaining audiences in and around North Texas for the last dozen years. Rogers has shared the stage with such Texas music legends as Steven Fromholz and Bruce Robison.
Ed is currently working on a new band project with Chris Curtis, and Steve and Rodger Harrison. He also plays drums for the band No Class.
Rock/Blues: Beatles, Temptations, Little Feat, Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Taj Mahal, Stevie Wonder, etc.
